WAGASHI WORKSHOP in Kyoto 10/23 | G&G building 2F | 火曜日, 23. 10月 2018

+Watch an experienced teacher show you how to make wagashi from scratch.
+Make the sweets under expert supervision.
+Taste the confections together with a cup of tea from award-winning Kyoto tea merchant Rishouen. Participants will make enough sweets to sample in class and to take home with them. Recipes in English will also be provided.
WAGASHI ISSHO
1, Kiku (chrysanthemum)
Rice flour dough is wrapped around a bean paste filling to create a sweet that looks like kiku, a flower that blooms in Autumn. Participants get to make two sweets, which should be consumed on the day that they are made.

2, Suhama
A sweet moulded from kinako, or roasted soya bean powder. Suhama keeps for about 2 weeks and would be an interesting souvenir to take home.
