Join us for a Wild West Tour and Garden of the Gods! We have rented a bus for this event, and paid for the tickets so it is FREE for ** Denver International Students! Learn types of people lived in Colorado during the 18th & 19th century?What is a tipi? How was it used?What is a “homestead?” Do they still exist today? Where do you get one?Where does the phrase “riding shotgun” come from? What does it mean?Before international students roamed Colorado, there were American Indians, homesteaders, ranchers, miners, health seekers, explorers, and farmers! The Wild West Tour will take you a living history farm and museum at Rock Ledge Ranch in Colorado Springs, covering over sixty years of Colorado history from the American Indians through the early farmers. Following the 2-hour tour, we will each purchase our own lunch at Garden of the Gods Cafe (or bring your own lunch to have a picnic), then go to the picturesque Garden of the Gods, We will return to Denver by 5 p.m., depending on : Friday, October 25, 7:00 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Please arrive by 7 a.m. for departure.)Where: The bus will leave from Campus Village at Auraria (318 Walnut St, Denver, CO 80204)What to bring:Money for lunch or bring your own lunchWaterWear comfortable and sturdy walking shoesDress appropriately for the weather (bring a raincoat, sunscreen, etc.)Bring your camera!Get tickets here:
